The Pandemic

Worship in song is such an important part of our lives. Here are some picks from our worship team to get your hands and perspective raised towards heaven.

"Dancing on the Waves" reminds me of the first time I welcomed God into my heart at 18 years old. After a childhood of abuse, fear, low self esteem and feeling unclean and unloved.  I felt clean, forgiven and loved by my heavenly Father..

So many songs resonate right now. Still towards the top of the list is ‘While I’m Waiting’.
So much of life, especially now, is just that: waiting.
So the song begs the question of what we are going to do in the meantime.

This week's celebratory anthem is RATTLE! by Elevation Worship.  It reminds me that seemingly impossible circumstances can't stop anything that God wants to do. God speaks it, and things happen. Jesus will come back, open up our graves...and we're coming out!

The one I sing almost daily is “Way Maker”. I love the whole song, but the chorus and the bridge are the ones that often come to me like drumbeat.  

This morning, I had to go to the grocery store to pick up a few things. I was having anxiety about going, so I asked God to put a hedge of protection around me and to keep me strong and help me to know that I can stand on His promises.

When I went into the store, I felt unusually fierce because I was renewed in the knowledge that I have a God that is a light when things can seem dark. I stood on his promise that He would be with me always - even when I don't always see it, even when I don't always feel it.  Because, MY God, that is who HE is.

So the other day I was talking with a good friend and mentioned that I was struggling in the area of patience.  I mentioned patience with other people, my children and even my wife.  When I hung up the phone I realized they weren't the true source of my agitation....I had failed to confess that I was growing impatient with God.  Having ample amount of free time now, I've realized that the more I'm catered to, the less I feel like waiting.  I have access to far too many devices that meet my immediate needs and these things encourage my impatience.  Our society tries to make life as fast and easy as possible, but I believe God works on a much different time table.

I lost my job and I'm worried about my financial situation
God is in the waiting
I'm so sick and tired of home schooling.

I tell my kids the same thing everyday and they STILL WONT LISTEN!!!

Please hear me, when it feels like nothing is happening, something is absolutely happening...God is in the waiting.
This song is a prayer of encouragement, filled with truths not just lyrics.  Love and miss you all.

This song always puts my heart at peace. All of the lyrics are awesome but the chorus and verse 2 always makes my heart rejoice!

This song is one of my faves right now. Knowing there is a day coming where all of this will be gone encourages my soul so much and brings hope and freedom in the midst of trying times. Love you all!!
