I Am The True Vine

Just as a branch must stay connected to a vine to remain alive and ultimately produce fruit, so the disciple of Jesus must remain connected to Jesus for life and spiritual fruit. Using this metaphor Jesus teaches us what it means to be his disciple. It is not a one time decision alone but an ongoing relationship. And as we continue to follow Jesus, we will be given all that we need, for without our connection to him, we can do nothing.
