Do Not Be Deceived

Paul writes that the early church was being told by some that there was no resurrection of the dead. Though falsehoods like this seem obviously false, we too face subtle calls to ignore the reality of the resurrection day. The resurrection calls us to live soberly and holy in this present age. Denying the resurrection empties the suffering we face of meaning and tempts us to compromise. Yet believing in the resurrection calls us to live soberly and holy in this present age.
