Prayer is both important and difficult. Jesus gives us a great guide for our prayers, what we call “the Lord’s prayer.” The fourth thing he teaches us in prayer is about forgiveness. This request reminds us of our need for daily grace – both given by God and extended by us to others.

As citizens of God’s kingdom, we have detached ourselves from this world. Now we can trust the God will take care of us and be our sufficiency. As His people we seek first His Kingdom, and in turn he provides for us. Teaching from our 2016 Family Weekend.

After hearing the gospel, we are called to repentance. The family of God can often play a role in this process. We should lovingly encourage and honestly appeal to each other to live for the Lord as we await Christ’s return. (video coming soon)

In sending his disciples out to speak the gospel, Jesus prepared them for whatever might happen as they went their way. He taught them how to respond when the gospel was rejected or ignored. We are called to love, pray, and forgive, not taking resistance personal.
