Summary
No one likes pain, no one like trial. But for the Christian, this is part of living in an evil world – swimming upstream against the current. When we endure and trust God to work trials for our own growth and good, we are following in the steps of Christ. Though we don’t enjoy trial, we can count them as a chance to be purified to become more like Christ. However, if we do everything we can to avoid the pain that comes from purification, we can be sure we will not be doing so to our eternal benefit.
